"I'm BORED!!"

Ok, we never like hearing that.  I know I try to get out and celebrate the outside with my kids both at school and at home.  Sometimes you just get stuck inside due to weather.  Here are some boredom NON VIDEO GAME ideas! I hope this helps you keep busy!

How about a cardboard house? Yea, we all use a ton of toilet paper and paper towels.  Save those tubes and make a LOG CABIN! Use cardboard for the frame and glue tubes on top.  The parent can hot glue or assist with Duct tape.  This is awesome and it can be a great family project.

How about some homemade games? Balloon tennis sounds like fun! Tape plates to thick craft sticks and blow up a balloon.  Put tape on the ground or come up with a dividing line.  You can even decide as a family your own set of rules!

Do a scavenger hunt.  Have the children come up with a list and you come up with a list.  This can be awesome on 2 levels... 1. It is fun and interactive 2. If things are out of place they are found and put back in place... SNEAKY CLEANING!
Make a stained glass window.  Tape some clear contact paper onto a window.  Give the children different color tissue paper and allow them to cut or tear and stick.  If they are older, have them think about a design, younger FREE stick.

Never underestimate the fun of a game of floor tic tac toe or hop scotch, BAKING with food coloring or silly icing designs, fort making or even freeze dance.  Kids really just love to see their grown ups act silly!

I hope this gives you guys some help to beat those "bored days".

Stay cool and remember it is NOT the Polar VORTEX!
